Coopers Cave Ale Company Solar Hot Water System

For Coopers Cave Ale Co., hot water is doubly essential. The Glens Falls operation offers as many as a dozen beers and ales at a time, brews up to 20 in a year, and includes a restaurant that seats up to 120. Fort Bliss

In October 2012, Sunmaxx Solar installed a viable solar system for Fort Bliss, a United States Army post in the United States of New Mexico and Texas. The system utilizes three ThermoPower-VHP30 as well as a 211 gallon solar storage tank. SunMaxx Solar announces the upcoming installation of a solar thermal system at a new multi-story physical fitness center with gymnasium at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort.  The fitness center is expected to be completed in May 2013. New Jersey Institute of Technology Goes Green with SunMaxx Solar

Thanks to $1.6 million in funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), installation of energy efficient and renewable energy technologies was recently completed at the New Jersey Institute of Technology’s Oak Residence Hall. The project was approved by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities and the U.S. Department of Energy as one of seven projects in the $20.6 million State Energy Program funded by ARRA. In September 2009, SunMaxx Solar was pleased to provide the evacuated tube solar collectors for the Brian C. Nevin Welcome Center on the Cornell University Campus.  Under the direction of M/E Engineering, who were responsible for the mechanical design, the welcome center used 8 ThermoPower evacuated tubes from SunMaxx Solar, which they roof mounted.  The collectors are connected to the building’s hot water system and the heating system for the building is primarily in floor hot water radiant heat.

In February 2012, Dave Brugge completed the installation of a solar thermal system at Kuhns Bros. Log Homes Incorporated in Frewsburg, NY.   The installation included 1 ThermoPower VHP-30 and two ThermoPower VHP-20 solar collectors as well as a 280 gallon solar storage tank.   The solar system provides both hot water and heating for the building with a solar fraction of approximately 65%.  This new solar thermal system replaced the previous propane forced air furnace and electric hot water.

During February of 2012, a commercial solar thermal system was installed for the Vanillen Dairy in Ovid, New York.   The system uses five ThermoPower VHP-30 solar collectors, roof mounted, along with a 211 gallon solar storage tank.  The system was installed to provide both domestic hot water and heating and is tied into their existing propane hot water tank and boiler.   The system provides 100% of the domestic hot water needs from late Spring through early Autumn and 75%  of the domestic hot water and radiant floor heating from late Autumn through early Spring.

During March of 2012, a residential solar thermal system was installed for Mike Beres of Springville, New York.   His system uses two ThermoPower VHP20 solar collectors which are ground mounted, as well as an 80 gallon solar storage tank.  The system provides 95% of his domestic hot water needs from late Spring through early Autumn and 80% from late Autumn through early Spring.  The system tank has an electric element and tied into a 40 gallon propane hot water tank and wood boiler.  He took advantage of the $4000 from NYSERDA’s Solar Thermal Incentive Program.

In February 2012, a residential solar thermal system was installed for Nick Napolitano in Greece, New York.  The system includes one ThermoPower VHP-30 solar collector, roof mounted, as well as an 80 gallon solar storage tank.  The system provides 85% of the domestic hot water needs of the residence.  The system is tied into a 40 gallon gas hot water tank.  Nick took advantage of the $4000 credit from the NYSERDA Solar Thermal Incentive Program.

In January 2012, a residential solar thermal system was installed for John Beres in Hamlin, NY.   The solar thermal system includes five ThermoPower VHP-30 solar collectors, roof mounted, as well as a 211 gallon solar storage tank.  The system provides both heating and hot water to the residence.  It provides 90% of the domestic hot water needs and 80% of the heating needs for a baseboard heating system.  Mr. Beres took advantage of the $21,000 incentive from NYSERDA.

In July of 2012, a residential solar thermal system was installed for Tommy Smith of Hamlin, New York.  His system uses five ThermoPower VHP-30 solar collectors, with an awning mount, as well as a 211 gallon solar storage tank. He took advantage of the NYSERDA Solar Thermal Incentive Program and was provided $15,960 toward his system.

In September 2012, SunMaxx Solar completed the installation of a solar thermal system at Singer Farms in Appleton, NY.   The installation included five ThermoPower VHP-30 solar collectors, ground and roof mounted, as well as a 120 gallon solar storage tank.   The solar system provides both hot water and heating for the building and is tied into an existing 1000 gallon propane/wood burning hot water tank and boiler.  The system provides 100% of the domestic hot water needs from late Spring through early Fall and 75% from late Fall through early Spring.

In August 2012, SunMaxx Solar worked with Simply Solar Systems LLC to design and install a commercial solar thermal system for Krony’s Pizza in Hamlin, NY.  The solar thermal installation included five ThermoPower VHP-30 evacuated tube solar collectors and a 211 gallon solar hot water storage tank. The collectors are roof mounted and provide approx. 75% of the businesses domestic hot water needs.  The new system ties into two gas hot water tanks (1 at 40G and the other at 50G).   They took advantage of the Solar Thermal Incentive Program through NYSERDA and saved $25,000.

Facade Integrated Flat Plate Solar Thermal System

This facade integrated system utilizes the SunMaxx Titan Power Plus Panels to accomplish both space heat and hot water heating. By mounting the collectors at a higher angle such as 90 degrees, the summer time production is decreased but winter time production is increased.

SunMaxx Solar Installs Solar Thermal System at Grand Hyatt Hotel

SunMaxx Solar installed a Solar Thermal System to The Grand Hyatt Hotel which provides heat & hot water, and a heated swimming pool to the facility. 60 Collectors, 1800 tubes and SunMaxx Solar Evacuated Tubes were used in the installation.

St. Regis Hotel Solar Thermal System Installation

In 2009 , SunMaxx Solar completed a Solar Installation at the St. Regis Hotel in Aspen , Colorado. Wallkill Prison Solar Thermal System Installation

The SunMaxx Solar System, located at the Wallkill Correctional Facility (Ulster County) seeks to harness the power of the sun to meet the hot water needs of the 608-bed, medium security men’s prison.  The system includes 1440 evacuated tubes in 3 pods of 16 collectors arranged in 3 rows of 4 collectors.
