SunMaxx Solar announces the upcoming installation of a solar thermal system at a new multi-story physical fitness center with gymnasium at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort.  The fitness center is expected to be completed in May 2013. Hightower Construction Company of Charleston, SC won the government contract for the 47,800 square foot structure. Beacon Housing Authority to Improve Energy Efficiency with SunMaxx Solar

Energy-efficient improvements are on tap for two Beacon Housing Authority (BHA) developments, thanks to federal stimulus funds totaling $735,000 provided from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act through a competitive grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Ron Traudt, the housing authority’s executive director, said the money will be used for improvements in the Hamilton Fish Plaza and Forrestal Heights housing complexes. SunMaxx Awarded OG-100 Collector Certification

The US solar thermal marketplace is already reaping the benefits of the recently announced partnership between European solar thermal manufacturer GEO-TEC Solar Industries and North American solar innovator SunMaxx Solar. The SunMaxx TitanPower Plus-SU2 flat panel solar collector has received OG-100 certification. More notably, this collector achieved the highest OG-100 energy output rating for collectors using ethylene glycol as a transport medium.
