Solar Energy Sales Tax Exemption for New York

The legislation provides an exemption from New York State sales and compensating use tax on the retail sale and installation of commercial solar energy sysetms equipment. The new law also lets cities and counties do the same. It follows the 2005 tax exemption for residential systems.
