SunMaxx Installs Solar Thermal System at Singer Farms in Appleton, NY

In September 2012, SunMaxx Solar completed the installation of a solar thermal system at Singer Farms in Appleton, NY.   The installation included five ThermoPower VHP-30 solar collectors, ground and roof mounted, as well as a 120 gallon solar storage tank.   The solar system provides both hot water and heating for the building and is tied into an existing 1000 gallon propane/wood burning hot water tank and boiler.  The system provides 100% of the domestic hot water needs from late Spring through early Fall and 75% from late Fall through early Spring.
