In January 2012, a residential solar thermal system was installed for John Beres in Hamlin, NY. The solar thermal system includes five ThermoPower VHP-30 solar collectors, roof mounted, as well as a 211 gallon solar storage tank. The system provides both heating and hot water to the residence. It provides 90% of the domestic hot water needs and 80% of the heating needs for a baseboard heating system. Mr. Beres took advantage of the $21,000 incentive from NYSERDA.
