During the Fall of 2012, a residential solar thermal system was installed for Dick Zandi of Blasdell, New York. His system uses one ThermoPower VHP-30 solar collector which is roof mounted and an 80 gallon solar storage tank. The system provides 80% of his domestic hot water needs and is tied into an existing 40 gallon gas hot water tank. He took advantage of the $4000 from the NYSERDA Solar Thermal Incentive Program.
